Ontario’s underground music scene continues to grow stronger each year, and one artist steadily carving his own lane is Klemmer, an independent musician from Welland, Ontario. Now four years into his music journey, Klemmer has shown remarkable growth, versatility, and dedication to both his craft and the community around him.
When Klemmer first began making music, his sound leaned heavily into melodic and pop-inspired styles. However, as time passed and his artistry developed, he began exploring a wide range of genres. Today, his music blends elements of rap, hip-hop, rock, screamo, and melodic alternative sounds, creating a dynamic catalog that reflects both experimentation and artistic evolution. This willingness to step outside of traditional genre boundaries has allowed Klemmer to build a unique identity within Ontario’s thriving independent music scene.
Klemmer’s dedication to performing has also helped him build a strong regional fanbase. With over 40 live performances across Ontario, he has become a familiar face in several cities. His hometown of Welland remains one of his most frequent performance locations, while Brantford and London, Ontario have also become key cities in his touring circuit. In fact, Klemmer has performed in each of these cities five or more times, solidifying his reputation as a consistent and energetic live performer.
His rising recognition has not gone unnoticed. Klemmer was interviewed by Niagara Underground on Instagram, a platform that highlights emerging talent in the region. He has also been featured on multiple radio segments in Niagara Falls, Ontario, as part of the well-known Grizzie Showcase, giving his music additional exposure throughout the Niagara region.
Beyond his own music career, Klemmer has taken steps to uplift other artists as well. He is the founder of ShellShock Entertainment, a music-focused platform dedicated to supporting underground talent. The company hosts a monthly underground artist showcase at Plush Imperial in Niagara Falls, creating opportunities for independent musicians to perform and connect with new audiences.
ShellShock Entertainment also offers promotional opportunities through its social media platforms, including song and album reviews, New Music Friday features, tournaments, show promotion, and more. The goal behind the platform is simple but powerful: helping underground artists grow together and build a stronger independent music community.
On the music front, Klemmer continues to release new material and collaborate with other artists. One notable collaboration is the track “Security” with Slim Dinero, which has already surpassed 4,500 streams on Spotify alone. The track showcases Klemmer’s ability to blend modern hip-hop elements with his evolving sound.
Klemmer has also recently stepped into new territory with his latest release “POPPED” (produced by Dayonikin) featuring Wild. The track marks his first official release in the experimental screamo lane, and the response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive. With listeners embracing this new direction, Klemmer has hinted that more music in this style could be coming soon.
Another key part of Klemmer’s career is his involvement in the music collective HXS, where he stands as one of the trio’s central members. The collective was founded by SJ and Dayon, who recognized Klemmer’s potential and saw him as a perfect addition to the group. The name HXS, short for “Happy X Sad,” represents the collective’s philosophy that music is not limited to a single emotion or style. Instead, it’s about connection, expression, and understanding the full range of human experience through sound.
With a growing catalog of music, dozens of live performances, a thriving artist platform, and a creative collective behind him, Klemmer is proving that independence and community can go hand in hand. As his influence continues to expand throughout Ontario’s underground scene, one thing is becoming increasingly clear — Klemmer is only getting started.
